Brian Gratz

Founder & Creative Director
Brian’s creative journey began with a fascination for storytelling, capturing moments that feel honest, cinematic, and emotionally real.
 
For over 15 years, he has worked across the world of video production, partnering with national brands and refining his craft through a wide range of commercial and narrative projects. It’s a journey that began behind the lens as a combat cameraman in the U.S. Air Force. That early experience shaped a calm, intentional approach to filmmaking — one grounded in trust, patience, and presence. Wedding filmmaking has since become a powerful creative outlet, offering a rare opportunity to capture genuine human connection with depth, elegance, and emotion. These celebrations continue to inspire some of his most meaningful work.
 
While we deeply respect the craft and the significance of the day, we also strive to capture the energy, joy, and celebration that make each wedding unforgettable. It’s not just about the quiet, heartfelt moments. It’s about the laughter, the movement, and the feeling of being back in that very moment once more.

As Creative Director, Brian leads the vision behind every film, ensuring each story is told with clarity, elegance, and heart. The result is a film that’s both visually striking and deeply personal.
Operator & Creative Producer

Kyle Tokasey

Kyle’s path into filmmaking was shaped by his foundation in design, where he developed an eye for composition, balance, and visual storytelling. He holds a master’s degree from Arizona State University’s School of Design, where he refined his creative approach and visual sensibility.
 
Kyle and Brian grew up together in Fountain Hills, Arizona, and remained close friends through years of shared creative exploration. After Brian founded Gratz Films, he brought Kyle on board to help expand the vision—combining Brian’s cinematic storytelling with Kyle’s strengths in branding, design, and operational leadership.
 
As a cinematographer alongside Brian, Kyle has spent over five years filming weddings—bringing a design-driven perspective to each story he helps tell. He also serves as the operator and creative producer at Gratz Films, guiding the visual narrative and client experience from start to finish.
Kyle’s work is grounded in thoughtful design, resulting in films that are visually refined and emotionally resonant.

How do you approach filming a wedding day?

We take a quiet, intentional approach—balancing unobtrusive documentary-style coverage with thoughtful direction when needed. Our goal is to preserve the authentic feeling of your day, capturing both the cinematic and the deeply personal.

Our collections include multi-camera coverage, licensed music, a handcrafted feature film, and a cinematic preview edit perfect for sharing. We also offer optional add-ons like full ceremony edits, toasts, drone footage, and behind-the-scenes content.

Our feature films typically range from 6 to 12 minutes, depending on the flow of your day, the number of events covered, and the energy of your story. We focus on quality, emotion, and narrative—not runtime.
 
Yes. We use discreet wireless microphones and backup audio sources to ensure that vows, toasts, and spoken moments are preserved with clarity and depth.
We deliver most films within 12–16 weeks. We take the time to craft each story with care—so the result feels timeless and worth the wait.
Drone coverage is included in most packages and is used tastefully to enhance setting and story—never just for flashy shots.
We carefully select music that reflects the tone, energy, and emotion of your day, using fully licensed tracks. If you have a particular style or mood in mind, we welcome your input.
Absolutely. We deeply value collaboration and always aim to complement the photographer’s flow. Many of our favorite films came from seamless teamwork with talented photo teams.
Yes. While we offer thoughtfully built collections, we’re happy to tailor coverage, edits, or enhancements based on your needs.

Brian brings over 15 years of experience in visual storytelling. His journey began as a combat cameraman in the U.S. Air Force, where he learned to stay calm under pressure and capture stories with clarity and purpose.
 
He leads each project with empathy and vision, blending technical discipline with emotional intuition. Brian knows when to lean in, when to step back, and how to preserve a moment without ever interrupting it. His films are more than keepsakes—they’re emotional time capsules meant to last a lifetime.

Kyle Tokasey

Kyle is the operator and creative producer at Gratz Films. With a background in design, he brings a refined aesthetic to every frame—capturing moments with balance, intention, and a distinct visual style.
